The 38C is a beautiful razor with a classic design, I loved shaving with it from day one. I doubt I'll buy another DE razor.

Having used razor cartridges for years, I was annoyed with the rash that often came with the use of them.

Don't be fooled by the 3 blades is better advertising line. 1 is better, much better I might add.

This razor is made to last, it will most likely out live you. Not only does this do a better job with some good blades, but its cheaper in the long run.

You have to get this in your hand to appreciate the build quality. I've got a few Merkur razors. From the cheapest to the most expensive, Merkur never compromise on quality care. Never shaved with a traditional razor? You will have to show this razor some respect and take your time. However, the end result is a damn good shave. Switch from the 8 pack of new fangled blades you buy at the chemists. Don't you feel mugged?
