I bought this out of curiosity, and the fact that the regular stuff peddled on the high street was vastly over priced and didn't live up to the hype. Vastly superior shaving experience. Fast, smooth, feels great. Makes shaving an enjoyable part of the morning routine.

What a shave. It came quickly, no postage charges, and has lived up to its high expectations. The best shave I have ever had – my face feels fresh, clean. So good today I could have got away without shaving.

I notice on the internet Merkur offer a 10 year warranty. I chose the brushed chrome model – it has the appearance of grey paint. I am sure it is durable and will last. I am so pleased I chose the adjustable model and have set it at 3 at present.

This was my first DE razor which I bought two years ago after 20 years of cartridge razors.

It's a very good and well built razor and, in combination with my preferred Feather blades, gives a very good shave.

My only reservation is the size of the head -- it's quite large and I find it hard to get some of those concave areas under the jaw line. I today ordered a Merkur Progress from this site to see how I get on with a smaller razor.
