The Merkur Slant Bar Heavy Duty Safety Razor features a slanting head.

The slanted shave head and blade slices through the beard, rather than chopping the whiskers. This provides a very close shave - ideal for thick or coarse beards.

The Merkur Slant Bar Razor should be used with care and may not be best suited to first time double edge shavers.

I thought the HD was my shaving partner for life and then I tried the Slant. The Slant Bar has the same feel, quality and balance of the HD but gives an even closer shave.
